This year we must congratulate Wetherby Musical Theatre Group on a “golden” achievement - entertaining us for 50 years since they were formed in 1975!
WMTG are a vital part of the local arts scene with musicals, plays, events and rehearsals running throughout the year. New members are always welcome. They are celebrating this special year by staging what was their very first musical, Guys and Dolls, on 28th to 31st October. The Sunday Music Sessions - Collingham Memorial Hall
Sunday October 19th Doors Open 7.00pm - entry on the door (small cover charge)
The “Sunday Music Sessions” have been running on a monthly basis in this area for many years breaking only occasionally for holidays and of course during lockdown. We are looking forward to this one in “festival” month!! The sessions provide a great platform for artists to play in front of an audience, maybe for the first time or to try out new material or just for the sheer enjoyment of performing. Normally limited to three acts per session there’s always a variety - we’ve had solo artists, duos, bands, barbershop singers,- we’ve had genres, classical, blues, rock, folk and much more.
