Lauri Bower - Paper Collage Workshop Saturday 4 October 1-3pm

A creative workshop which can include illustrating your favourite quote as a paper collage. This two-hour session offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of paper collage, whether you're a seasoned artist or a curious beginner.
The tutor, Lauri Bower, will guide you through the art of paper collage, a technique simply using paper, scissors, and glue. Lauri has been playing with paper for many years and can be found at local Artisan fairs and markets as well as Artists Around Wetherby Open Studios.
She also teaches mindfulness courses, and incorporates the aspects of calm, attentive focus into her creative work.
Lauri will provide
• all the papers and materials needed for this workshop, including scissors and glue
• inspiration ideas from her own work to create from
• suggestions on how to lay-out your quote.
At the end of the workshop, you'll leave with your own unique paper collage, ready to adorn your space or share as a heartfelt gift. You will also hopefully leave with a sense of peace and calm, having given yourself the opportunity to play.
If you want to illustrate a quote, please choose one of about six words or less, such as – peace is every step – live, laugh, love – all you need is love – no rain no rainbow.
Have a look at Lauri’s Instagram page for ideas https://www.instagram.com/the_creative_space_uk/.
This workshop is open to all ages and skill levels. Whether you're a beginner eager to try something new or an experienced artist seeking a fresh perspective, everyone is welcome.
